Social Media: Stop the Scroll

As a professor of Social Media, I teach content strategy and the steps to create posts and stories with audience, platforms, message, value, brand and outcome in mind.
I enjoy helping people learn and understand the benefits of many platforms, not just one. As news and information becomes more fragmented, it's important to meet consumers where they are at, so we can better provide value and information in the way they learn and interact with media.
Stretch beyond your social shells and find a common space in new platforms that enable you to reach and engage with new audiences.

Basic Photography Lessons

I like to teach photography through adventures and experiences. I'm happy to host a learning field trip to a local park or downtown spot to teach composition or how to shoot in manual mode with you DSLR.

About Me

I am a media professor, journalist and photographer based in Bucks County, Pa. I’m passionate about capturing moments through human-interest writing, photography and video production.

Career roles included reporting for The Miami Herald, covering conflict in the Balkans for Stars & Stripes, writing about education, crime and business for news groups in North Carolina and then delving into community journalism in Pennsylvania.

Local journalism, covering the community in all ways and through all forms of media is what I love to do most. I spend more than a decade writing and producing visuals for The Bucks County Courier Times, The Intelligencer, and other USA Today Network properties.

I’ve worked as a columnist, investigative reporter, video producer, podcast host and photographer.

I continue to produce written and visual journalism for local and national news outlets. My work has been featured in U.S. News & World Report, The Associated Press, Seattle Times, Christian Science Monitor, Raleigh News & Observer and more.

My other interests include teaching yoga and fitness and spending time with my family.
